Green Gear for Your Pet’s St. Patty’s Day Parade

March 12th, 2010 by Carolyn

Go green this St. Patrick’s Day! But why? The original color associated with St. Patrick was blue not green. Over the years though, the color green and its association with the holiday grew because the shamrock, a three-leaved plant, was used by St. Patrick to explain the Holy Trinity to Irish people. Recycled Sweater Dog Toys from Bark for Peace

Not only does this unique pet product allow animals to make their own contribution in going green, it does them a favor, because according to Bark for Peace, wool is a much less abrasive material for dogs to chew and tug on than what’s traditionally used to make these toys.
